Yo! My name is John Shwartz, and I’m a Visual Effects artist living and working in Los Angeles, CA.  I started this blog/page/thing for a few reasons.  First, I made this site because I wanted to share with anybody who cares to look tips and tricks to help get your VFX shots made right, and efficiently.  I also love finding ways to improve my craft, work smarter, and produce better and better VFX.  Third, I’m a complete dope and come up with nifty solutions to very specific problems all the time, and then I forget the solutions.  So, I’m going to be logging all the different things I come up with for my own use as well as for the use of others.

also feel like a pretentious ass when I’m talking about myself or my own shit like I’m some kind of master, so i’m putting this addendum here at the bottom to cover all my bases. Yes, everything I said above is true, but I know that it sounds ridiculous, so here’s me acknowledging it and realizing how it might come off. I swear I’m not a douche… wait… I think I might be…
